At the Colten Foster Foundation, we are proud to support students pursuing careers in the skilled trades. Each year, we award scholarships to graduating seniors and select juniors who are dedicated to continuing their education through trade and technical programs. Skilled trades are essential to our communities and provide meaningful, rewarding career paths for hardworking students.
This mission is especially meaningful to our foundation because Colten was pursuing a future as an electrician. Supporting students who share that same passion and determination allows us to honor his legacy while investing in the next generation of skilled professionals.

“The Colten Foster Foundation is proud to award three $1,500 scholarships this year to graduating seniors pursuing trade school education.
These scholarships are made possible through the continued support of our community, including longtime partner McCarty Gall Platinum Realty, whose generosity has helped us grow this program over the years.
We also extend our sincere appreciation to Shelter Insurance, and agent Phillip Litwin, for their support this year, which has allowed us to expand both the number and value of scholarships awarded.”

Carson received a $500 scholarship to continue pursuing his studies in Automotive Technology during his senior year, along with a $100 Casey’s gift card.

2024 update: Dylan attended KCKCC and completed his training. He is EPA licensed in HVAC and is employed at On Demand Mechanical LLC. Dylan continues to grow and seek more opportunities as he is currently pursuing his Master Mechanical license.
